Do you love to read the One Piece manga and always watch the anime on TV? If so, I am sure you are aware about the difference between the manga and the anime. One Piece is special because you can only get the full information of the story if you read and watch both manga and anime.

In the manga, there is always one page short story that tell about what is going on with the previous characters that the One Piece crew had encountered. Sometimes the story also give some hint about characters that will be introduced later. For example the mermaid girl; Camie that is friendly with Hachi was introduced at the short story long before she meet the One Piece pirate.

On the other hand, the anime version usually give detail story about an event. When the Straw Hat crew is separated because of Kuma, the manga tell the story about each of them briefly. Compared to the manga, the anime version shows what happen to each of them in complete details.

If you are a true One Piece fan, it is not enough to only watch the anime at TV. I am sure you are aware about Oda crazy story line. He knows how to keep readers in mysteries and at the same time he knows how to inject useful information in certain dialogue. Believe it or not,  skeleton Brooke first appearance is not actually after CP9 Saga. Brooke had made his appearance since Laboon Saga.

If you watch the scene about Laboon flashback, you should notice someone that is wearing tall hat and playing piano. Yup, that’s Brooke for sure . The gap between those episodes are totally far isn’t it. Besides that, joining of Brooke into Straw Hat Pirates is not a coincidental as Luffy had request numerous time to have a musician in the crew. I am many readers are not aware of it since the dialogue was made in a funny and not serious situation. The proofs :

• One Piece Manga – Vol. 1 Chapter 8, Luffy brings up his request of getting a musician when the need for a navigator is being discussed.
• One Piece Manga and Anime – Vol. 5 Chapter 42 and Episode 19, Luffy brings up his request of getting a musician during when the need for a cook is being discussed.
• One Piece Manga and Anime – Vol. 11 Chapter 94 and Episode 44, Luffy brings up his request of getting a musician during when the need for a doctor is being discussed.
• One Piece Manga – Vol. 32 Chapter 303, Luffy brings up his request of getting a musician when the need for a shipwright is being discussed.

If you love One Piece to the core. You should really consider to buy the DVD collection. As you can see, One Piece is not an ordinary cartoon or animation. Just like its name, One Piece is a piece of art. The story is blend carefully and many characters and scenes are strongly related. Sometimes you will not realized any clue that Eiichiro Oda has given until watch again every episodes. Sometimes you may need to watch the DVD again and again just to find a single and valuable clue. That’s why is important for every One Piece fan to have their own collection of One Piece DVD.

If there is no DVD shop around your town that sells original One Piece DVD, please consider to buy it online. I am sure you already know how much time and ink Eiichiro Oda has spent to fulfill our lust for an anime with great storyline. Instead of saving a mere 10 dollars by buying pirates DVD, why not contributes the extra dollars to the publisher and the mangaka to show that we love the story and we want more of it.
