One Piece Guide

Woo hoo.. suddenly Shanks show up in the middle of the war just when Coby needs help. Looks like Shanks is buying for Luffy to get away. Shanks also get back his straw hat (that Luffy had left) and ask Buggy to return it to Luffy by making fake promise.

In this chapter, you would see how incredible Shanks is when he try to stop the war. Shanks challenges everyone that still want to continue the war to face him first. Looks like there isn’t any who oppose him. I don’t know whether it is because of Shanks or they just really don’t want to continue the fight anymore. Teach already got the power he desired, and the marines already had Ace and Whitebeard go to death. And from the previous chapter it looks like, Hawk Eye doesn’t even want to face Shanks at all. I believe that there was some agenda between those two.

That’s how Shanks appearance become the closing event of the greatest war since the beginning of the Great Age of Pirates.

Hmm, I wonder where Trafalgar Law will take Luffy.

Whitebeard has died and the war arena is so shocked about it. Something seem fishy about Blackbeard pirates. Looks like they are trying to do something with Whitebeard body. They take a black cloth and cover it around Whitebeard body with Teach being inside too. I don’t really know what happen inside but after the ritual finish Teach seems to have double ability that is his ‘black hole’ ability and the ‘earthquake’ ability. Damn, Teach just stolen Whitebeard ability.

Meanwhile, Akainu is still trying to kill Luffy. Lucky there are Jimbei and Ivankov to protect Luffy that is still in shocked of Ace death. Perhaps Luffy lost consciousness already.

At the end of the chapter, Teach try to use his new ability at the marine plaza. Satisfied with his ability, he claims that his era is just starting. That’s what he claimed. I am sure that is nothing more than a nonsense. Luffy gonna beat Teach in not so long. Cannot wait for the confront.

Questions:

• How does Teach managed to have double ability? Is it really because of Teach? Or is it because of the power of one of the Level 6 Impel Down pirates that he just recruited? Or is it because the power of the black cloth that is used to cover both Whitebeard and Teach? Who is Teach actually?
• Is Teach able to take any ability from the death? Since Whitebeard already dead when he done something in the black cloth. Or is it valid for a certain period of time after death only?

The marine plaza is being shocked by the appearance of a few dangerous pirates that have become a part of Blackbeard crew. According to the marine, those are:

• San Juan Wolf (The Pirate “Colossal Battleship”)
• Abalo Pizarro (Wicked King)
• Busco Shot (Mighty Drinker)
• Catarina Devon (New Moon Hunter)
• Shiryuu of the Rain (remember the Head Gaoler from earlier chapter?)

This is so like Oda. Even in a serious war scenery Oda managed to promote a few new characters. Among the infamous characters, it looks like Shiryuu that was a Head Gaoler of Impel Down has changed side and now become a part of Blackbeard pirates.

In this chapter we would know the real reason Teach (Blackbeard) join shichibukai that is to infiltrate the Impel Down so that he can free the infamous pirates and make them apart of his crew.

Seeing that Teach appears at the war, Whitebeard wouldn’t miss this chance to destroy Teach. Just when Whitebeard in the act to kill Teach, other pirates from Blackbeard attack him simultaneously and this lead to critical damage to Whitebeard.

Knowing that his life is going to end soon, Whitebeard announce the same thing that once was told by Gol D. Roger. “One Piece is out there…” shout Whitebeard as his final word. Although he just dead, Whitebeard still show his pride by not falling to the ground despite the number of injuries that he got.

Question:

• Why Blackbeard Teach works so hard in being shichibukai just to get a few team members from Impel Down? Is there anything special about those pirates? Does Blackbeard want their power or Blackbeard actually intend to dig the past secret of the world government?
• There is a flashback of Whitebeard (Edward Newgate) and Roger drinking together. I am wonder what kind of relation that they really had in the past? Since the beginning of One Piece, we are being told that those two is a big rival but somehow they look quite friendly in the flashback.

Ace death seems to affect Luffy greatly. It looks like Luffy still can’t accept Ace death. I am really terrified seing Luffy eyes without eyeball. As Luffy seems to lost his way, Akainu tried to kill Luffy but he is being disturbed by Marco. As Ace already mentioned that Luffy is part of his life, Whitebeard crew are trying their best to protect Luffy. This chapter become more interesting as Whitebeard suddenly involved in the fight by punching Akainu. Akainu fight back by laying a magma punch to Whitebeard face.

Oh, no! This is the worse scene I’ve ever seen in One Piece. A partition of Whitebeard face is damaged because of Akainu punch. Looks like Akainu’s magma is very powerful. Since Whitebeard is not a logia type devil fruit user, his face can’t regenerate. I am worried that One Piece will be turned to 18 SG (for heavy violence). As the result of the fight, the plaza is being cut by two due to the Whitebeard earth quake power. Thanks to the cut, the marines and pirates are now separated.

As the Whitebeard pirates are trying to escape from the plaza, the marines see someone hiding behind the HQ. Looks like Blackbeard crew finally arrived at war field. Blackbeard is the main reason Ace were caught. Because of Blackbeard, Ace finally died. I am not sure how Whitebeard and Luffy will face this.
